I whipped up this flag for a window-display art build in my local Palestinian liberation group, to show solidarity in the neighborhood. Using worsted or aran weight yarn, it is the perfect size to hang vertically in a narrow window. It can easily be adjusted to different sizes using thinner or thicker yarn, or by adjusting the stitch and row counts. It can also be used as a wall hanging or even an appliqué on a jacket or shirt!

Materials
Yarn: Worsted or aran weight yarn in red, white, green, and black. Approx. 40-50g of each color.
Needle: 5.5mm (US 9) straight or circular needles
Notions: Tapestry needle
Pattern Notes
This flag is knit flat in garter stitch. The red triangle is knit first, and then the green, white, and black stripes are knit flat in garter stitch as a separate piece. These pieces are then sewn together and the long end of the red triangle is folded over and stitched down over a dowel rod or spare knitting needle for display.

Finishing:
Using red yarn, sew the stripes to the red triangle with whip stitch. Weave in ends and block. Fold red edge over dowel rod or knitting needle and stitch down to keep it in place. Hang on a hook or use extra red yarn to create a hanger to display in windows, on walls, or on doors. Happy knitting, and Free Palestine!
