We’re back with Week 2 of Me Made May! This week, I wrapped up my trip to Chicago for h+h americas, and spent the week at home preparing for another trip, this time to Europe! So it’s mostly wfh and running errands outfits, but I still fit in a handmade piece every day!

Day 8: Friday
This was my last day at h+h americas, and I flew home in the evening, so it was part trade-show ‘fit and part airport ‘fit.
Me mades: I’m wearing the prototype of my Sure Thing Raglan (pattern coming autumn 2026!) in DK-weight alpaca yarn from the Perfect Blend Yarn & Tea Shop in Rhinebeck, NY. I’m also wearing my tatreez baseball cap, with a flower motif from Tatreez Traditions.
Non me mades: My thifted Gap jeans and Brevite travel backpack — two great Poshmark finds!
Day 9: Saturday
Running errands in the rain and catching a few tunes from my neighbors as it was Somerville PorchFest today.
Me mades: Just my tatreez cap and Bestie Bag today, no knits! The Bestie Bag is by BF Patterns, and I made mine a medium with Merchant & Mills quilted cotton from Gather Here in Cambridge, MA.
Non me mades: Thrifted Land’s End jeans, a crewneck sweatshirt from Garvin’s in Connecticut (the little shop near the beach where my family stays for a week every year), and an LL Bean lightweight rain jacket.

Day 10: Sunday
The weather today was lovely, so I took my knitting out on the patio!
Me mades: My Sure Thing prototype and my Town Bag project bag from Grainline Studio. This bag design was originally a Fringe Supply Co bag before they stopped operations in 2020, but they teamed up with Grainline Studio to make a pattern so sewists could make there own! The canvas and hardware are from a kit from Grainline too.
Non me mades: As always, my chrysanthemum necklace from Nominal. You can also see my little Rhinebeck 2024 pin on my Town Bag.
Day 11: Monday
Working from home with my least favorite co-worker, Ghost!
Me mades: This roll hem raglan is super similar to my Sure Thing, but with rolled hems. I don’t have a pattern for it, but I might add a note to the Sure Thing pattern when I publish it as it’s pretty easy to swap the ribbing for rolled hems. This one is knitted in Knit Picks City Tweed DK in “Toad”.
Non me mades: Thifted Land’s End jeans, my Nominal necklace, and my little Torbie baby Ghost.

Day 12: Tuesday
Another work from home day! It’s still quite chilly in the early mornings here in New England, so I’m still layering up in sweaters and jackets when I leave the house at 7am.
Me mades: I’m wearing my tatreez baseball cap, my roll hem raglan, and an overdyed wool shacket (shirt/jacket) from Woolx. Does overdyeing something make it a me made? I’m not sure, but I have several overdyed garments that I plan to wear this month so I’m deciding that they count! This jacket was originally cream, but I found I never really reached for it and it got dirty easily, so I decided to dye it with Rit dye. I was going for a camel color, and since the jacket is 80% wool, I used the normal Rit dye (made for natural fibers, not synthetics) in the color “Camel”. Well that somehow turned the jacket green, while turning the linings and pockets camel, so I then dyed it again with Rit DyeMore (for synthetics) in “Chocolate Brown” and it ended up… camel. Lol. That worked out well!
Non me mades: My Nominal necklace!
Day 13: Wednesday
Today was for running last minute errands and scrambling to get everything done before I leave for Europe on Friday. The weather was decent for once!
Me mades: The only me made I’m wearing is my TAATTU socks, which you can barely see but I promise they are cute and stripey! Yarn is Patons Kroy Socks Stripes. I actually knit these in college, about 8 years before I published the TAATTU Socks pattern, but the formula is the same.
Non me mades: Land’s End jeans, Urban Outfitters button down, and Doc Marten clogs, all thrifted from Poshmark.
Day 14: Thursday
You’ll never believe it, but it’s another wfh day! A chilly, rainy wfh day so I went for a cozy look.
Me mades: I’m wearing my Heated Rivalry-inspired “Loons in Love” pullover. The colorwork chart is free on my blog, but I don’t have a pattern for the actual sweater. I knit it up on my KX-350 knitting machine in pieces, sewed it together, and embroidered the loons on with duplicate stitch. Yarn is mostly Harrisville Designs Shetland (which comes on cones, perfect for machine knitting!) And yes, one of the loons is wearing a necklace. It was his mother’s.
Non me mades: Thrifted Land’s End jeans, Nominal necklace.

And that’s it for the second week of Me Made May! I’ll be in Europe for weeks 3 and 4, so stay tuned for my handmade travel wardrobe!
