It’s week three of Me Made May and I’m in the UK/Europe for the rest of May! Here are my handmade outfits for this week.
Day 15: Friday
Flying BOS -> LHR, and then to Oxford to visit my bestie! This is my new go-to travel outfit, apparently.
Me mades: I’m wearing the prototype of my Sure Thing Raglan (pattern coming autumn 2026!) in DK-weight alpaca yarn from the Perfect Blend Yarn & Tea Shop in Rhinebeck, NY. I’m also wearing my tatreez baseball cap, with a flower motif from Tatreez Traditions, and my overdyed Woolx shacket.
Non me mades: My thrifted Gap jeans, thrifted Brevite travel backpack, and an “almost perfect” Koala Sling Bag from Portland Leather.
Day 16: Saturday
Arrived in Oxford, had a quick nap, and then went out to an outdoor gin bar with friends.
Me mades: I’ve got my Sure Thing Raglan, my overdyed Woolx jacket, my Town Bag (sewing pattern and kit by Grainline Studio), and my trusty TAATTU Socks!
Non me mades: My thrifted Gap jeans and Portland Leather Koala Sling Bag.
Day 17: Sunday
We went into Oxford City Centre to browse the shops, had a pint in the Oxford Covered Market, and then went to see a Jane Austen-inspired improv show called “Austentatious”.
Me mades: Sure Thing, overdyed Woolx jacket, and my Lil Bucky Bag I sewed up with waxed canvas scraps and a fat quarter from Banyan Batiks that I got at h+h americas earlier in May. My bestie Jess is wearing a jumper she made from a Wool and the Gang kit!
Non me mades: Thrifted Gap jeans and my trusty Blundstone boots.
Day 18: Monday
Jess and I ran some errands around Bicester and then spent the rainy afternoon at home knitting, snacking, and watching Taskmaster.
Me mades: Sure Thing Raglan (I only brought one jumper on this trip, so you’ll see it a lot this week!), Lil Bucky Bag, and my Thayer Street Socks.
Non me mades: Thrifted Land’s End jeans!
Day 19: Tuesday
We went to brunch in Bicester and did some shopping, and I wore the exact same outfit as yesterday. Oops!
Me mades: Sure Thing Raglan and Lil Bucky Bag.
Non me mades: Thrifted Land’s End jeans and Portland Leather Koala Sling Bag.
Day 20: Wednesday
Went into Oxford again to browse the Covered Market, visited the Woolhound wool shop, and joined up with the Oxford Drunken Knitwits for some stitching and sipping!
Me mades: Sure Thing Raglan!
Non me mades: Thrifted Gap jeans, Blundstones, and my Indie Untangled 2025 tote bag.
Day 21: Thursday
Exploring other towns in Oxford! The weather was stunning today, and I honestly was not prepared for warmer temps and don’t have any warm-weather me-mades (something I’m hoping to fix this summer!)
Me mades: Town Bag by Grainline Studio.
Non me mades: Thrifted Land’s End jeans, thrifted Urban Outfitters button-up, new Dansko clogs, and my Portland Leather Koala Sling Bag.
And that’s all for my third week of Me Made May! I’m off to Germany next week for a family wedding, and yes I have a couple of me-mades planned for my wedding guest outfit!
